VIDEO: McDonough speaks on the National Mall for Earth Day

On Saturday April 18, 2015, Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day was held at the Washington Monument Grounds on the National Mall. Organized by the Global Poverty Project and the Earth Day Network, the free event aimed to drive commitments and action by governments, corporations, and individuals in combating issues of poverty and climate change.

In this video, William McDonough is joined by a special guest to announce a new design effort. McDonough also speaks on the importance of eliminating the concept of waste, part of his vision for a positive future and a Cradle to Cradle world.

The day offered a full slate of activism and music and includes performances by No Doubt, Usher, Fall Out Boy and others. More details can be found on Globalcitizen.org.
